When You Need One

A written valuation is the difference between "I think it's worth X" and a document that holds up in a bank, boardroom, or courtroom.

SBA & Bank Financing
Lenders underwriting acquisition loans almost always require a third-party valuation before funding.
Partner Buyout
Buying out a co-owner? A signed valuation prevents future disputes and anchors a fair number.
Estate & Gift Planning
Defensible valuations for estate tax returns, gifting strategies, and succession structures.
Divorce Proceedings
When the business is a marital asset, both sides need a credible, documented valuation.
Preparing to Sell
Know your number before you list. Pre-Listing tier doubles as the seller’s internal prep document.
Insurance & Buy-Sell
Key-person and buy-sell policy sizing often requires a supporting valuation.

What’s Inside the Report

Every report is prepared by Steven Reese, founder of Nexus Bridge, and delivered as a PDF on firm letterhead.

Adjusted Earnings
We normalize owner compensation, personal expenses, one-time items, and family payroll to get to real run-rate EBITDA or SDE.
Three Valuation Methods
Market multiples (most weight), discounted cash flow, and asset-based approach — reconciled into a defensible final range.
Industry Comparables
Recent closed transaction data from our network, BizBuySell, DealStats, and public filings — specific to your sector and geography.
Risk & Discount Analysis
Customer concentration, owner-dependency, lease, key-employee, and regulatory risks — each with a documented valuation impact.
Low / Mid / High Range
A single number sounds confident but isn’t reality. Every buyer models a range, so we give you the range buyers will see.
Deal Structure Notes
(Pre-Listing tier) How price typically splits between cash at close, seller note, earn-out, and working capital peg for your deal profile.

Common Questions

How do I pay?
After you submit the request form, we confirm scope and send an invoice via email. Payment by ACH, check, or credit card. Work starts once payment is received.
What financial information do you need?
Last 3 years of tax returns or P&Ls, trailing 12-month revenue detail, and a short questionnaire about operations, staffing, lease, and owner involvement. All shared through a secure link and held under NDA.
Is this the same as a certified appraisal from a USPAP-certified appraiser?
No. Our reports are broker opinions of value, not USPAP appraisals. They are suitable for internal planning, negotiation, SBA pre-qualification, and most partner/estate discussions. For litigation-ready USPAP appraisals, we can refer you to a credentialed appraiser — typically $5K–$15K.
Is the $999 fee really credited back if I sell with you?
Yes. If you sign a listing agreement with Nexus Bridge within 12 months of receiving a Pre-Listing report, the $999 fee is fully credited against our success fee at closing.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Mutual NDA is standard on every engagement, signed before any financial data is shared. We've never had a confidentiality leak and every team member is under an umbrella confidentiality agreement.
Can I just get the free version?
Absolutely — most owners should start there. The free call tells you if you're in the ballpark and whether paying for a formal report makes sense for your situation. No pressure to upgrade.
